Construction has kicked off on a new indoor sports facility in western Chesterfield.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for 360 Fieldhouse, a 28,000-square-foot venue at 21114 Hull Street Road that is planned to feature three multi-purpose basketball courts and an indoor turf field.

Brothers Sean and Mike Beville and their business partner Ryan Marable are developing the project, which is anticipated to cost $5 million and would rise next to Hidden Wit brewery.

The 360 Fieldhouse team are building the facility, which is slated to open in summer 2027, to tap into nearby population growth and the rising popularity of youth sports. Mike Beville said there’s a lack of indoor sports space in Chesterfield and the project was intentionally situated in the growing Moseley area.

“We think this is going to feed a very rapidly growing demand in this part of Chesterfield,” Mike Beville said.

The project’s general contractor is D&H Construction and its design is being handled by Balzer & Associates. The project is being financed through Carter Bank.

The 360 Fieldhouse facility is planned on a site next to Hidden Wit brewery in Moseley.

The facility’s anchor tenant and operator would be Local Legends, a youth sports organization owned by Marable. While that organization is expected to be the main user of 360 Fieldhouse, the facility would also host other local organizations and serve as a venue for traveling youth sports tournaments.

“From Local Legends’ perspective, we’re going to focus our programs on being housed in the Fieldhouse, but Local Legends won’t monopolize the space or turn away other local sports that might want to use the space,” Marable said.

Among the venue’s three high-school sized basketball courts would be one that would double as a college-level championship court. The courts would be usable for other sports, including volleyball and pickleball.

The project has evolved since 360 Fieldhouse was announced around this time last year. The team previously planned a slightly smaller building and one less court, but increased the scope due to anticipated demand.

As the project gets underway on construction, the Bevilles and Marable are looking for sponsors and intend to sell naming rights to the overall venue and courts.

An LLC tied to 360 Fieldhouse bought 1.8 acres of land for the project from an entity tied to Hidden Wit for $150,000 earlier this year. The undeveloped land’s assessed value is $17,900. Hidden Wit has been tapped to be 360 Fieldhouse’s exclusive food and beverage vendor.

“That partnership continues to grow, and they’re going to be an integral part of the community feel at the facility,” said Mike Beville, who along with Sean also runs vacation rental company Beville Getaways.

The 360 Fieldhouse team is planning to make improvements to the parking lot and vehicle access from Hull Street that the sports facility and brewery share, as well as construct a new turn lane to enter the property.
